I truly cannot think of a better way to have ended our 2016 wedding season than with Meghan and Drake and all the love and support their families exuded on their wedding day! From the moment I arrived at Addison Grove that afternoon, I felt like a part of the family and that feeling only strengthened as the day moved on. I have so many favorite moments from their wedding that choosing the images for this blog post was the equivalent to using all of my (mental) strength and will power to not eat all the brussels spouts as soon as they're out of the oven (if you know me and my love for brussels sprouts....you understand how hard this was! And if you don't know me, but this still made you laugh or you understand the feeling...I like you already. Let's be friends!).
As you scroll through this, you'll see a few images of Meghan's grandparents. These are honestly some of my favorite images because to me, there's so much history and love in an image of two people holding hands as they watch their granddaughter, their legacy, walking down the aisle - praying that she will one day be able to share in this day with her own grandchildren, hand-in-hand with her husband of 50+ years as they did that day.
I hope this sneak peek makes your heart as full as it makes mine. Meghan and Drake - I am so incredibly grateful to have been chosen to be a part of the first day of your marriage! Cheers to many, many more! xoxox
This image makes my heart burst! The brides grandparents as they await their sweet granddaughter walking down the aisle just as they once did. Hand in hand. I like to think that in this moment, they had beautiful memories rushing back to them as they remember these moments from their wedding day! It's the simple things that matter most y'all.
