I'll never forget the look of admiration and love on Anna's face when she looked up at her husband. Moments before that Paul, Philips brother, honored their late father in his best man speech. He said something I'll never forget: "If you didn't have the pleasure of knowing our father, you actually do because Philip embodies everything our father was."
That hit me like a ton of bricks, in a great way. There was nothing more heartwarming than to see the looks on the faces of the guests who knew him, you could easily pick them out because they all nodded with smiles on their faces and tears in their eyes. That was one of my favorite moments of the night! I get to know my couples so much better during the speeches because I get to see a side of them I likely haven't had the opportunity to see yet.
Being a wedding photographer is so much more to me than just taking pictures, I'm being invited into such an intimate day in two families lives as they become one. I also have the joy of capturing moments that only happen once: that one walk down the aisle, that one tear that falls from Philips face as her sees his beautiful bride for the first time, that one last kiss a father gives his daughter before she becomes a wife (you'll see it when you scroll down, it's so sweet!). I have the BEST job in the world, but it's only because I have the most incredible clients with the most loving families!
You two truly are so blessed to have found each other and to have grown up with families that love you as clearly as I experienced in your wedding day! Thank you so much for trusting me in capturing this beautiful day in your lives! I hope you all enjoy the highlights of the day and can feel the love I had the opportunity to experience with these amazing people!
Anna is a jewelry designer here in Austin and made the bridesmaids necklaces as their gift! She is extremely talented - aren't they BEAUTIFUL?!
Oh the sweet bridesmaid reveal!!! Their reactions were perfect!
Daddy seeing his daughter for the first time as a bride! I teared up the entire time! A daddy/daughter first look is a definite must!
Peeking out at the ceremony site as guests begin to arrive!
I lost count how many times I told Anna she looked like a princess, and now I get to show the world exactly what I was seeing! Ahh that dress!
